Hailey E. Robinson, M.S., is a Chickasaw citizen and native of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She is a full-time PhD student studying language and literacy by day and a Licensed Cosmetologist by night. As a Black and Chickasaw woman, Hailey recognizes the importance of representation in educational spaces and the power of storytelling.

Her love of textured hair care began in the summer of 2012 when she decided to “big chop” and return to natural. Since then, she’s accumulated a following of over 17,000 people on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook and has fallen in love with helping people along their natural hair journey.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, festivals, spending time with family, and volunteering with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is currently working on her next children’s book and resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Her sister, Malashia, is a high school student and the inspiration for Malashia’s Magical Twists. She lives in Oklahoma, is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and enjoys sports training, dancing, and playing video games.
