Dr. Robin R. Gunning (Chickasaw) graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1967. He served as a preventive medicine officer in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, completed residency training in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 1973, and went on to a career in Oklahoma City and Colorado, until his retirement in 2006. Since then, he has enjoyed his hobbies of writing, playing violin, and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. He currently lives in Lone Tree, Colorado, with his wife, Sarah.
