Chickasaw storyteller Glenda Galvan preserves the ancient and vital art of First American storytelling in a collection of stories drawn from Chickasaw oral tradition. Presented as children’s stories told in English and Chickasaw, the Chikasha Stories series introduces the spirit Chickasaw people share with animals and nature, explores our culture, and shares our beliefs about Aba' Binni'li, creator of all things. Award-winning Chickasaw artist Jeannie Barbour brings the traditional Chickasaw stories to life. The three titles of the series are Chikasha Stories, Volume One: Shared Spirit, Chikasha Stories, Volume Two: Shared Voices, and Chikasha Stories Volume Three: Shared Wisdom. Readers can also get the interactive app based on the award-winning Chikasha Stories, Volume One: Shared Spirit, narrated in English and Chickasaw.
